North Okanagan Climate

1900 Hours of Sunshine Every Year

The North Okanagan Region has an excellent reputation for moderate winters (mean February temperatures -10C) and long, hot sunny summers (mean August temperature +24C). Over 1900 hours of sunshine provide an excellent climate for outdoor recreation activities and a long growing season for the local fruit industry.

The North Okanagan is both cooler and wetter than the semi-arid South Okanagan. This ideal climate has always been an attractive factor for retirees moving to the area as well as tourists enjoying the unlimited outdoor recreational opportunities.
